形態特徵

• Shrubs or small trees, to 2-5 m tall, stem erect, simple or much branched upward in age, glabrous, smooth.
• Leaves crowded at apex of branches, ensiform to broadly lanceolate, 10-35 cm long, 2-4 cm wide, acute to acuminate at apex, sheathing at base, coriaceous, margins slightly wavy, surface lustrous green, midrib raised on both surfaces. Inflorescence 20-40 cm long, much branched; bracts acute, scarious; pedicels 4-6 mm long, articulate just below apex.
• Flowers white to pale yellow, l-4-together, in terminal panicles; perianth narrowly campanulate, 1.5-2 cm long, segments 6, spreading and somewhat reflexed; stamens 6, ovary sessile, 3-celled.
• Berry orange-red, ca. 1.5 cm in diameter.

分布

• 台灣 : known only from the southern cape and Lanyu Isl.
• 世界 : The Philippines, Malaysia, India, Java and Australia.
